As the year draws to a close, we would like to use this time to take a brief look back at the CALPANA team, what we have achieved and what celebrations we have had this year. It will probably come as no surprise to read that in some respects this year did not go quite as we had hoped or imagined.
Despite this, or perhaps even because of it, we look back on our team highlights in 2021 with great pleasure. Because even if many things turned out differently, we always made the best of it.
Community and team spirit are very important to us at CALPANA and we have tried to take the opportunity to come together whenever possible. Be it in the individual teams in various virtual after-work get-togethers, at small introductory parties for new colleagues in the office, when a dear colleague retires or at smaller team events.
Together with the majority of the CALPANA team, the highlights certainly included a cosy evening with a meal in the Stiegl Klosterbräu, fast-paced e-karting in Linz and the alternative to our unfortunately cancelled Christmas party was a very funny remote quiz about the Linzer Torte.
Our company outing this year was somewhat smaller than in previous years. But it was definitely hot! The race with the e-go-karts is still a popular topic of conversation and a rematch is certainly planned for next year.

Due to the renewed lockdown in Austria, our planned Christmas party unfortunately had to be cancelled at short notice. As an alternative programme, we spontaneously came up with the idea of creating a digital option and doing something together without the risk of infection. Shortly before Christmas, five CALPANA teams competed against each other for the main prize: fame and honour for life AND a Linzer Torte!
Professionally moderated and superbly prepared by GEO°BOUND, this was a completely new experience for us. We puzzled our way through several quiz levels for two hours and laughed a lot, found creative solutions and then had a cosy chat with colleagues in the virtual lounge.
We are excited, remain flexible and always try to make the best of everything. We are already looking forward to the new employees who will join our team, new exciting risk management projects, big topics in software development, fun team events and the focus on further growth of CALPANA!
